How long do you wait?
This has been my issue with being sick since probably forever. How long before I go to the doctor? Are my symptoms even treatable? I hate to go in for just the common cold. I hate that I do wait. Duh, of course 104 temp isn’t the common cold. I didn’t go in the first time I got sick. I just chalked it up to the flu. I waited another 3 weeks before going in to a walk in clinic.
Even though I was hoping to get something to knock this shit out, I was skeptical. There was a part of me that was like yeah they will just tell you you have a cold and to deal with it. This is probably why I’m not a doctor!
I got a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. My lungs came back clear but with gunk in the bronchioles. I got a breathing treatment to break up the mucus. I am being treated for bronchitis. I have a z-pack, inhaler, aleeve, and cough syrup that will help me sleep.
I should have went in with the high fever before. I just assumed it was a lingering part of the flu.
Well let’s hope that this arsenal of meds can knock this bronchitis out!
